Customs Tariff Nomenclature for the year 2021


The Regulation on Harmonization of the Customs Tariff Nomenclature for the year 2021 was published in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” no. 050 on May 18th 2021, entered into force on May 19th 2021, and shall be implemented from May 20th 2021.

On the day of the commencement of the regulation implementation, the Regulation on Harmonization of the Customs Tariff Nomenclature for the year 2021 (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, no. 147/20 and 159/20). ceases to apply.

The legal basis for the issuing of this regulation is Article 3, Paragraph 8 of the Law on Customs Tariff. Apart from the nomenclature, the regulation encompasses the rates, that is the amount of the customs duty regulated by this law, that is the concluded free trade agreements implemented on the harmonized nomenclature.

The primary Regulation on Harmonization of the Customs Tariff Nomenclature for the year 2021 has entered into force on January 1st 2021, harmonizing the Customs Tariff with the Combined Nomenclature of the EU for the year 2021 (including the changes of the Combined Nomenclature from December 2020).

CT2021 with the UK is harmonized with the provisions of The Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been completed. The Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Agreement was signed on April 16th, 2021 and its temporary implementation shall begin on May 20th, 2021.

The issuing of the new CT2021 was necessary since the Agreement impacts all tariff codes included in the Customs Tariff for the year 2021 (preferenctial tariff rates and quotas). The novelties are included in the following parts of the Appendix to the CT2021 with the UK:
  • Part I - code GB for  the implementation of this agreement;
  • Part II - preferential tariff rates for the implementation of this agreement and
  • Part IV new table 3 with quotas (7/12 annual quotas) for the implementation of this agreement

  • The agreed import duties on the goods originating from the UK have been entered into the database on our website EXPORT IMPORT & CUSTOMS
